Small Family Adventure Micro Wedding

Whenever someone asks me about where the best place to elope in Colorado is, I always tell them the San Juan Mountains. It’s full of adventure and makes for an awesome place to elope in Colorado. When Emily and Matt reached out about doing a small family elopement, I knew this place would be perfect for them. They wanted to include their loved ones but didn’t want to compromise on their adventurous sides.

We went over a lot of different options before settling on the ultimate game plan for their elopement. The timeline included a private first look before setting out on their jeep tour. The morning was moody with the typical June monsoon weather, but the clouds lifted at just the right time for them to share my favorite part of the day. We then headed down to meet the family at Alpine Scenic Tours for their jeeping adventure. We headed up to the mountain pass where they shared their vows surrounded by the peaks and their loved ones. We then headed back to Telluride where they had their lunch and first dance at Telluride Sleighs and Wagons.

Emily, Matt, and myself then headed back into town and did the must-have Telluride photos and even had their dog “sign” their marriage license! Exploring and showing off my favorite area of Colorado to these east coasters was full of adventure and intimate moments. You can’t beat that!
