A Relaxed Elopement in the San Juans

Morgan and Brian wanted a day to just be able to spend time together alone, in the natural beauty of Colorado. They chose Silverton, because of the San Juans are some of the most beautiful nature that Colorado has to offer. They started the day having a drink at the Wyman and getting ready in their rooms. After getting ready, they did a quick first look in the courtyard of the Wyman, and then we headed out to their ceremony location. We took their SUV up to a secluded alpine lake where they said their vows completely alone. After some very sweet, very teary vows, we explored the area a bit before heading down the trail to celebrate with a little picnic and cake cutting. They signed their license, popped champagne, and had a little charcuterie dinner. Morgan surprised Brian with some letter from their moms for them to read after dinner. They finished the dinner with a game of Yahtzee (a game they loved to play together and brought with them on backpacking trips) and headed back to the hotel for a few more photos on a night cap.
